Obeygle House, an Australian bagel cafe that sells over a million bagel sandwiches a year, opened in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul, last August. It's impressive that South Korea is the location for Obeygle House's first international expansion, given its phenomenal sales with only three locations in Australia.

Ordinary But Unordinary
Obeygle House is a large cafe spanning four floors. The first floor is for ordering and pickup, while floors two through four offer ample seating. The interior boasts a clean and modern atmosphere, with plenty of tables ensuring a comfortable dining experience. An elevator is available for convenient access, and high chairs are provided for families.
They also serve Saint Ali coffee, one of Australia's top three coffees, alongside a variety of bagels. Bagels including plain, sesame, black sesame, everything, blueberry, spinach & cheese, black jalapeno, and olive are available as single bagels (3,500 won), 3-packs (10,500 won), and 5-packs (15,000 won). Spreading cream cheese on your bagel enhances the flavor.
I ordered their most popular sandwiches, the Good Morning and Drop the Beat.
I chose my sandwich and then selected my bagel type. The staff member recommended a bagel for me, so I ordered that.
For drinks, I ordered the signature Hibiscus Lemon Iced Tea and an Iced Americano.
The Good Morning sandwich was a delightful combination of maple bacon, hash browns, cheddar cheese, and egg; a perfect sweet and savory balance. The bacon wasn't too salty, complemented by the sweetness of the maple syrup, and the crispy hash browns added a satisfying textural element.
The Drop the Beat sandwich, with its jalapenos and arugula, offered a spicy yet aromatic flavor that I enjoyed. The generous amount of meat made it a satisfying meal.
The Iced Americano had a low acidity and nutty flavor, making it enjoyable for everyone. The Hibiscus Lemon Iced Tea had a pleasant sweetness, the aroma of hibiscus, and a refreshing lemon zing.
Obeygle House, a large cafe in Hapjeong, offers delicious bagels, coffee, and a relaxing atmosphere, and is poised to become a Hapjeong hotspot!
